A message from our chair…
Hello and welcome to the brand-new newsletter for the Friends of Wallasey Central Library - FoWCL.
I’m Barbara Hardcastle and I’m the chair of FoWCL. If you’re a regular library user you’ll know how lucky we are to have the library in our community. Wallasey Central Library is very well-used and we want to keep it that way!
There is always lots going on at the library and we’ll be letting you know all about it at least every two months through this newsletter. Please encourage everyone to sign up. It’s free and will be the best way to hear about events and all the other ways that you can support the library.
As they say, use it or lose it!
Best wishes,
Barbara
Book sale
Thank you to everyone who came along to our book sale on 2 March. Almost £409 was raised and will be used to support the library. There was also a fantastic performance by Two Penny Piece.
The next book sale will be on Saturday 22 June.
If you can, we would love you to help out at the sale, from 10am-1pm or from 2-4pm. Please email us if you can give us a hand - friendsofwallaseycentrallibrary@yahoo.com
Half of the proceeds from the book sales will go towards buying new books for the library.
